Statement on the ‘Mr Dayal’ matter

On 19 August 2025, the Victorian Legal Services Board varied the practising certificate of the Victorian legal practitioner identified by the Federal Circuit and Family Court as ‘Mr Dayal’ in Dayal [2024] FedCFamC2F 1166.

2026–27 practising certificate renewals now open

All practising certificates issued in Victoria expire on 30 June 2026. If you intend to keep practising law from 1 July 2026, you must apply to renew your practising certificate by 30 June 2026 via LSB Online.
