This video explains to External Examiners how to use LSB Online to complete the end of year trust report.

Use this guide to help you complete the External Examiner’s Report in LSB Online.
From the homepage of our website, you can access LSB Online via the Member Log In button in the top right.
Once you have clicked the Member Log In button, then click the green Log In button to sign in and access the home screen.
Once you’ve logged in, select ‘Forms’.
You will now see a list of law practices you are assigned to as the External Examiner. You will also be able to see whether they have completed Part A and Part B. Select the relevant law practice.
If they have submitted the Part A and Part B, you will be able to view the completed forms.
Click ‘Create’ to begin the External Examiner’s Report.
In the ‘Summary’ tab, you will see a summary of your details.
Once you have completed this section, click next at the bottom of the page or select the next tab to move to the next section.
In the ‘Breaches’ tab, you will be asked if there have been any breaches of legislation.
If you select ‘Yes’, you will be asked to provide details of the breaches. You can click the blue ‘Add’ button to add a breach to your report.
Select the section or rule that was breached. You should provide an explanation of the breach and what the outcome of the breach was. Click ‘Continue’ to add the breach to your report. You can add up to 40 breaches into your report.
Once you have completed this section, click next at the bottom of the page or select the next tab to move to the next section.
In the ‘Opinion’ section, you will be asked about your determination about a few different things relating to trust money, accounts and record management.
Here, you will have the opportunity to report any trust irregularities.
At the bottom of the page, you can also make any final comments. This section is for comments only. Any breaches should be reported in the ‘Breaches’ section.
Once you have completed this section, click next at the bottom of the page or select the next tab to move to the next section.
In the ‘Certification’ tab, you can review your details. You will need to confirm your email address.
You should select the statements that apply to you.
If you would like to appear on the External Examiner register on our website, you can select ‘Yes’.
Once you have completed this section, remember to click the ‘Submit Form’ button at the bottom of the page. You also have the option of saving the form to come back to, downloading the form, or viewing Part B. If you identify an error in Part B, you can also reset the form for the law practice by selecting ‘Restart Part B’.
