Unsatisfactory professional conduct under the Legal Profession Uniform Law (Vic)
Penalty
Pursuant to section 299(1) of the Uniform Law the Victorian Legal Services Commissioner has decided that Ms Teti has engaged in unsatisfactory professional conduct and makes the following orders: i. Pursuant to section 299(1)(b) of the Uniform Law Ms Teti is reprimanded. ii. Pursuant to section 299(1)(c) of the Uniform law Ms Teti writes a formal letter of apology to the Complainant within twenty one (21) days of the decision such letter to be sent to the Victorian Legal Services Commissioners office for approval prior to the letter being sent to the Complainant. iii. Pursuant to section 299(1)(e) of the Uniform Law Ms Teti completes two (2) additional Continuing Professional Development (CPD) points in the area of Wills & Estates focussing on capacity and/or enduring powers of attorney. The additional CPD points to be completed over and above the ten (10) CPD units Ms Teti is required to undertake and they (the additional two (2) CPD points) be completed in the CPD year commencing 1 April 2024 and ending 31 March 2025.
