We are pleased to welcome Bronwen Bock to the Victorian Legal Services Board following her appointment on Tuesday 14 October by the Lieutenant-Governor, as the Governor in Council’s deputy.
Bronwen has been appointed for a four-year term, replacing Dr Lynne Williams AM as a lay member of the Board.
Board Chair Sam Hay KC said Ms Bock was a valued addition to the Board.
“Bronwen’s wealth of knowledge and experience in the finance and governance sectors will be a real asset to the Board’s vital work in regulating and promoting excellence within Victoria’s legal profession, improving access to justice and protecting and empowering consumers of legal services,” Mr Hay said.
Bronwen brings more than 18 years’ experience across investment banking, in-house mergers and acquisitions, venture capital investing, strategic portfolio management, corporate governance, gender equality, and politics.
The Victorian Legal Services Board is an independent statutory authority responsible for regulating the legal profession in Victoria. They're integral to the effective implementation of the Legal Profession Uniform Law in Victoria, ensuring professional standards are maintained and consumers of legal services are protected.
