Alice holds a PhD in law from the University of Warwick, specialising in sexual violence and criminal justice through qualitative research methods. She takes a multi-disciplinary approach to examining the relationships between attitudes, behaviours, law and society.

Prior to her current role, she worked at the University of York on the Defendants as Victims project in collaboration with the Law Commission of England and Wales. At Warwick, she worked on the independent evaluation of Operation Soteria – a pioneering Crown Prosecution Service initiative to improve rape investigations and prosecutions, which informed the new National Operating Model implemented in 2023.

Currently, she leads the Victorian Lawyer Census program, focusing particularly on workplace sexual harassment regulation. Her monograph 'Preventing Sexual Violence at Elite UK Universities: Education, Young People and Sexual Consent will be published by Bristol University Press in 2026.
