Board CEO and Commissioner is stepping down

The Victorian Legal Services Board Chairperson has announced that Michael McGarvie, the Board CEO and Victorian Legal Services Commissioner since 2009, will step down from his current roles on Tuesday 26th September 2017.
After his reappointment in 2014, Mr McGarvie made the decision to remain a further three years, planning to depart in late 2017. He announced publicly in 2016 he would step down at about this time.
The Board will appoint the current Executive Director Complaints and Intervention, Mr Russell Daily, to act in the role of CEO and Commissioner pending the appointment of a new CEO and Commissioner.
