Discussing death and dying: Advance care planning
April 27, 2016
The McCabe Centre for Law and Cancer will be hosting a community Q&A panel on advanced care planning for patients suffering terminal illnesses.
Advance care planning is the process of thinking and talking about what kind of medical care and treatments you might want, or not want, if you become unable to make or communicate your own decisions.
Expert panellists will explain how advance care planning can support better decision making at the end of life.
The Panel discussion will be followed by the launch of ‘Making the law work better for people affected by cancer’ 2016 report, which was funded through the Victorian Legal Services Board Grants Program.
The event will be held on:
- Thursday 19 May 2016
- 6:00 pm – 7:30 pm (registration from 5:30 pm)
- The Wheeler Centre
- 176 Little Lonsdale Street, Melbourne
Please register your attendance online at the Cancer Council of Victoria. This is a free event.
This event is part of the Victoria Law Foundation’s Law Week 2016.
