Dr Fahimeh Abedi

Fahimeh Abedi smiling

Fahimeh is an expert in law and artificial intelligence with over fourteen years of international experience in research and teaching.

She has secured over $500K in grants and led key projects, including the Ninian Stephen Law Program (NSLP) at the University of Melbourne, focusing on the legal and ethical challenges of emerging technologies for lawyers.

Fahimeh was Chief Investigator for the Building Resilient Legal Advice for Cyber and Critical Technologies project in Vietnam, funded by DFAT.

Her PhD developed universal standards for fairness, trust, and security in ODR, widely cited in the field. Fahimeh has published and presented extensively on AI related legal topics and has specific interest in online dispute resolution, AI regulation, access to justice, cybersecurity, and geoethics.
