Another Board-funded health-justice partnership project recognised with an award
October 26, 2016
A second health-justice partnership project funded by the Victorian Legal Services Board has been recognised with a community award.
The MABELS project, coordinated by the Eastern Community Legal Centre, was named the winner of the Creating Collaborative Community Partnerships category of the Victorian Government’s Victoria Early Years Awards.
The award is presented to a service or program that promotes collaborative practice to support and demonstrate outstanding positive outcomes for children and families.
MABELS is a partnership between the Eastern Community Legal Service, the Boorndawan William Aboriginal Healing Service, the Eastern Domestic Violence Service, Maroondah City Council and the Yarra Ranges Shire Council.
The Victoria Early Years Awards were established in 2007 to recognise services that support early childhood development. The 2016 Awards were presented at the National Gallery of Victoria on 18 October.
